Their turkey sandwich will make you not want to eat a turkey sandwich from anywhere else. My wife took me (because she knows how much I love a good turkey sandwich) and I have been a fan.
You can see them cutting up a turkey to put it on your sandwich, not cryo vac, or deli meat turkey this is the real deal. If you even like turkey, do yourself a favor and try it out. -

Krause is a common German surname and American soldiers in WWII would refer to the Nazi enemy as Krause sometimes.
Anyway, Krauses Lite Fare makes amazing turkey sandwiches. Get a basic one, or step up your game and grab a Thanksgiving Sandwich (juicy carved turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce). I recommend getting it on a roll with mayonnaise and salt/pepper. Or, just get a straight turkey dinner plate even if it's not November.
The prices are fair and service is relatively quick. There isn't really a line since it's bakery style where you just walk up the counter and get the attention of one of the workers.
I'd definitely come back for that juicy fowl meat! -

Their turkey dinner is simply fantastic. A huge portion of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and green beans for $10.99. Fresh turkey off the bone. A must visit for a Lexington Market trip.

Come on how can you not love this place? Fresh roasted Turkey carved to order just like thanksgiving. I don't know if its exactly light fare, but it was delicious and not greasy or extremely fattening. The Turkey was juicy and perfectly cooked, the potatoes were purely potatoes, beans were traditional, the gravy was simple and delicious, lastly the stuffing was only ok. The experience when you come here is really fun. Ordering in the market, eating here, it's just truly Baltimore. My mom suggested just getting their meals for thanksgiving this year, the turkey might be better than hers. Also you can't beat the price for the portion. Also heads to people who want to eat but aren't that hungry, they do serve half sandwiches.

Great lunch spot in the Market. All turkeys are roasted fresh and the meat is cut right off the bird just before they make your sandwich. The stand is easily accessed if you come in through Faidleys (it's to the immediate left when you enter the main market through there). Lines always move quickly. Would recommend any turkey sandwich or the soups, but only because I haven't had the rest of their menu - everything always looks good!
